Clean and Simple Challenge:156

Stamps: 'Animal Stories' (Stampin' Up), generic 'celebrate' sentiment
Paper: Plain White card stock, plain blue and baby blue DSP
Ink:
'Marina Mist' (Stampin' Up)
Accessories: Adhesive pearls, scalloped die set, polka-dot white ribbon and foam squares

A quick card based on this weeks Clean and Simple Challenge.  I made this one for a friend who recently found out that she is expecting a baby boy!

CASE Study Challenge # 55

Another CASE Study Challenge...  I decided to use this challenge to make a card for a friends daughter whose first birthday party we went to this afternoon.

Stamps: 'Forest Friends' (Stampin' Up)
Ink: Rose Red (Stampin' Spot)
Paper: Plain White card, chocolate brown paper, pink DSP in polka dots and stripes
Accessories: Spellbinders 'Fleur de Lis" die set, white polka-dot ribbon, adhesive pearls, foam squares.

To make this card I started by stamping the deer onto some plain white paper.  I cut out the stamped image out and set it aside while I prepared the die-cut backing.  I used two cut out pieces and stuck them together to create the snowflake looking piece.  I then stuck the deer in the centre using some foam squares. I layered the pink DSP over a chocolate brown backing, then applied the ribbon, deer piece and finished with two pearl dots in the top right

Clean and simple challenge: 155

Paper: Plain card stock in white, chocolate brown, green and yellow

Stamp:  Sentiment (generic)

Ink: VersaColour - Paprika (155)
Accessories:  Fluer de Lis die set (Spellbinders), flower punch, brown ribbon, antique look brass bards

Clean and Simple have another challenge this week where they have paired up with 'Colour Q' for a colour challenge.  I chose my colour inspiration from challenge #58.
I don't have many supplies and colours to choose from yet, so it was actually quiet hard to find a combination that I could pull off with what I have at home.

The card itself strays a bit from the Clean and Simple concept as I didn't use any embellishments / feature pieces in the top right hand corner of the card.  I decided not to use any further detail, given that the cut out pieces and flowers are the focal point of the card.
